Board Member Responsibilities

  • Formulate, approve and monitor adherence to Association policies and strategic plans.
  • Select, employ, monitor the performance of the Association’s Executive Director.
  • Review, approve and monitor Association’s annual and long range financial plans, policies and practices.
  • Assume direct responsibility for achieving approved annual funding and capital development goals.
  • Monitor Association adherence to federal, state and local regulations.
  • Assure proper maintenance and protection of Association assets.
  • Remain informed about the larger YMCA movement.
  • Insure the Association’s good standing with the YMCA of the USA.
  • Communicate Association policies, plans and activities to the community.
